SEMAX (10mg)
SEMAX (10mg)
Semax 10mg, a synthetic ACTH(4-10) analogue for neuroprotective research. (99%) Purity verified here on Australian soil at The University of Melbourne.
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide based on the ACTH(4-10) fragment with an added Pro-Gly-Pro (PGP) sequence at the C-terminus for enhanced stability. Developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics, Russian Academy of Sciences, it has been extensively studied for its effects on neurotrophic factors and cognitive function.
The peptide sequence (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro, or MEHFPGP) combines the biologically active core of ACTH with the stabilising PGP tripeptide. This modification increases resistance to enzymatic degradation, extending the peptide’s biological activity compared to the native ACTH fragment.
Research has examined Semax’s effects on brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression, nerve growth factor (NGF), and other neurotrophins. Studies have investigated its neuroprotective mechanisms, including effects on oxidative stress, inflammation, and neuronal survival in various experimental models.
Additional research has explored Semax’s effects on cognitive function, attention, and memory in preclinical models. The peptide has also been studied for its potential effects on cerebral blood flow and neurovascular function, contributing to our understanding of its mechanisms of action.
Gen Ex Peptides supplies Semax tested at an Australian university laboratory not generic overseas certificates. Each batch is verified for purity (99%) using HPLC and mass spectrometry.
